Bizkaia Talent launches the second edition of the “Basque Spouses Programme”, consolidating its support for the partners of international professionals

  • 16 participants from 7 different countries will take part in the programme which continues to evolve in response to the needs of the collective.

International mobility continues to be a challenge for highly qualified people who decide to settle down in new regions. Together with these individuals, their partners face challenges in terms of labour and social integration, critically important factors in terms of family well-being and life project stability. Bizkaia Talent, which has a commitment to easing this transition, has initiated its second edition of the “Basque Spouses Programme”, an initiative aimed at facilitating the labour integration of the partners of international professionals.

Over the forthcoming two months, the participants will receive orientation and counselling for the development of their professional careers, accompanied by mentors who will act as their guides throughout the whole process. They will be offered a wide range of activities designed to strengthen their personal brand and they will be provided with key information about trends and opportunities in the Basque Country labour market, as well as the opportunity to link up with key agents in the fields of employment, training and entrepreneurship.

In this new edition, the programme does not only maintain the aim of providing in the labour and sociocultural integration of the participants, but it also introduces several innovations with respect to the previous edition, such as a cycle of individual coaching sessions.
