Renowned tennis player. On 4 June 2016 she won Roland Garros, the first Grand Slam of her career, after beating world No. 1 Serena Williams in the final and took the second position in the WTA world ranking. Her best singles classification up to then had been number 3, in October 2015, when she managed to reach the Wimbledon final.
As for her doubles classification, she reached position number 10 on 23 February 2015. Throughout her career she has won three WTA singles titles, one of them in the Premier Mandatory category, and three doubles titles. With regard to the ITF, she has won seven singles tournaments and one doubles tournament. In 2015 she received the bronze medal of the Royal Order of Sports Merit.
