Basque Country is waiting for you
Some basques throughout the history
Jon Rahm is the best “amateur” in the modern history of golf. With this calling card the Basque golfer from Barrika made his debut in the professional circuit in 2016 at the age of 22. His physical and mental strength define him as a player who is bound to be the new Seve Ballesteros of this sport.
Rahm’s amateur career was brilliant; Ben Hogan award to the best college golf player on two occassions, Jack Nicklaus award to the best amateur, 50 weeks heading the amateur world ranking, world champion with a historic record and many other achievements which would take up half this report. But he made the jump to professional in June 2016 at the Quickens Loans, a tournament hosted by Tiger Woods, where he finished third.
