Over 80 highly qualified international professionals celebrate the Relocation and Be Basque Dual Career Centre service end of year party
- The Bilbao BBK Talent Home in Bilbao and the Tabakalera in San Sebastian were the meeting points for the professionals who come from 23 different countries
On the 13th and 14th of December Bizkaia Talent and Gipuzkoa Talent held their respective end of year parties with the international community within the framework of the Relocation service and the Be Basque Dual Career Centre, reinforcing what has become the essence of this service: the sociocultural integration in the Basque Country of all these people from all over the world.
The Bilbao BBK Talent Home and the Tabakalera in San Sebastian acted as hosts to 80 researchers and highly qualified professionals and their families. The guests come from countries such as Albania, Germany, China, Colombia, Korea, Egypt, the USA, the Philippines, France, Italy, India, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Poland, the UK, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Venezuela, Ukraine, Zimbabwe as well as the Spanish State. Basque professionals who have returned home from working abroad also attended the event.
The professionals are currently employed by prestigious organizations such as AVS, BCBL, BC3, BCAM, BCMaterials, Biofisika – Basque Centre for Biophysics, CAF, Deusto University, CIC BioGUNE, GKN, IDOM, Ikerbasque, Ikor, Nem Solutions, Polymat, SENER, Tecnalia, UPV/EHU (University of the Basque Country) and Vicomtech, among others.
In line with the tradition of previous editions, there was a gastronomic competition to showcase the typical dishes of their countries of origin and the guests had the opportunity to discover some of the unique customs of Christmas in the Basque Country, amongst other things. In short, they were able to have fun swapping experiences and finding out about each other’s cultures in a warm and homely environment.
