The 2015 Financial Aid Programme aims to support, involve, train and improve the careers of experienced researchers conducting their own research programmes in strategic fields of research and in association with research organizations based in the Historic Territory of Bizkaia.
This financial aid is aimed at firms, universities, associations and foundations whose registered office is in Bizkaia or which have a centre of work here and will be distributed according to three different modes.
- The first mode is intended to support the integration into Bizkaia of experienced researchers. Under this mode up to 100% of gross annual salary will be funded, up to the first three years of the labour relationship between the researcher and the hiring organization.
- The second mode enables short- to medium-term co-working by widely-experienced researchers, allowing them to co-operate with Bizkaian organizations on carrying out innovative research projects in Bizkaia. The researcher’s remuneration will be financed fully or partially up to a maximum of €61,000 per year, for a maximum period of two years.
- The third mode supports the training/skill-building of researchers, helping their career development in Bizkaia through participation in a research project in a renowned international organization that will enable them to broaden their skill base before returning to Bizkaia at the end of the period. With the financial aid provided under the call for applications that opens today, the researcher’s mobility and/or travel and living expenses will be fully or partially financed.
This is the fourth time that financial aid co-financed by the European Commission has been provided, after the Commission selected bizkaia:talent’s programme to support and co-work with, out of a total of 50 proposals from all over our continent.
