- This flexible work platform will be available to those people who want to embark on a business venture or need a space to work
Bizkaia Talent and Spaces, which belongs to the British International Workspaces Group (IWG), have strengthened their ties by signing an agreement aimed at assisting in the guidance and integration into the labour market of the spouse of any highly qualified international professional who has opted for Bizkaia.
IWG has 3,500 centres throughout the world, 70 in Spain and three in Bilbao. With its philosophy “Welcome home. Oops! We meant: Welcome to work” it makes professionals feel at home, allowing them to improve their efficiency at work and increase their motivation, thus helping their productivity.
In a world where geographical mobility affects and will continue to affect the life plans of highly qualified international personnel, support for the spouse is becoming increasingly important for their socio-cultural and occupational integration in the places of employment, which is key to the development of a life project as a couple and a family. This issue affects our region acting as a lever to promote the economy based on knowledge, innovation and creativity.
This assistance aims to define and support a strategy of reintegration services for highly qualified professionals and their spouses (Dual Career Couples), through career guidance, entrepreneurship and volunteering, and with the cooperation of agents and employers in the country.
Carmen Méndez de Castro, head of the Relocation & Be Basque Dual Career Centre service, welcomed the agreement reached: “In such a globalised world, where talent works in a number of cities, we have found a meeting point with Eva Martin (Spaces Bilbao Director) to indirectly support international professionals and their partners so that they can enjoy a flexible workspace with areas for events and networking. I would also underline the connection capability of Spaces Bilbao, which belongs to IWG, with 3,500 centres around the world.”
Supporting this group since 2006
