25 Bizkaia companies complete the first edition of the “Talent Strategy” programme

- A total of 99 representatives from 25 of the province’s companies took part in this programme which forms part of the “Bizkaia with the talent” strategy and which focuses on the development of talent strategies.
The first edition of the “Talent Strategy”, a training programme designed to enable Bizkaia companies to design and implement talent strategies, concluded on the 19th June with a diploma award ceremony in San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.
Over a period of five months Bizkaia Talent and the Faculty of Business Studies of Mondragon University have delivered this programme which includes an initial individual diagnosis and two itineraries adapted to the degree of talent management maturity of the participating companies. The Design itinerary is aimed at the design of a coherent strategy for the attraction and loyalty creation of talent in companies at the initial stage, while the Align itinerary is focused on companies at an advanced level, enabling them to review their value proposition and strengthen their reputations to continue to be attractive in terms of talent.
Participating at the closing event at San Mames were Mr Joseba Mariezkurrena, Manager of Entrepreneurship, Talent and Company Competitiveness of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia; Mr Ivan Jimenez, Managing Director of Bizkaia Talent; Mr Lander Beloki, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies at Mondragon University and Mr Borja González, Business and Innovation Manager of Athletic Club. Furthermore, Mr Mikel Aranguren, Arteche Marketing Manager, Ms Vanessa García, Head of Channel Agents in Training in the Northern Territory of Generali Seguros insurance company, Mr Igor Arrizabalaga, Chief Digital Officer at RDT Ingenieros and Ms Zuriñe Larrauri, Human Resources Manager at Zunibal, all shared their experiences at a round table event.
Training provided in 25 companies
Over the five months which the “Talent Strategy” programme lasted, a total of 99 people from 25 different companies have been trained: Afesa, Alterity, Arteche, BCAM – Basque Center for Applied Mathematics, CAF Turnkey & Engineering, Eldu, Ferchau, Fineco-Banca Privada Kutxabank, Generali Seguros, Grupo Eulen, Inetum, Ingeteam, Liftra, Merytronic (Gorlan), NTS Seidor, RDT Ingenieros, Roxall, Saitec, Sener, Serikat (Erhardt), Sidenor, Talio, Voltia, Walterpack and Zunibal.
“Bizkaia with the talent”
“Bizkaia with the talent” is a strategy promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia together with 40 organizations from the province including universities, professional training centres, clusters, company associations, institutions and Bizkaia’s leading companies. The aim is to reduce the gap between the STEM skills required by companies and the supply of qualified talent in the province.
