The university talent of Bizkaia tightens its links with reference companies in the province
- 135 third and fourth-year students from the Talentia Skills programme have visited eight benchmark companies in Bizkaia
As the academic year progresses, so do the activities within the framework of Talentia Skills, an excellence programme designed to promote the transversal skills of the university students with the highest potential in Bizkaia and to provide them with a link to the business ecosystem. Outstanding amongst these initiatives is Talentia Meet, an encounter which provides direct contact between young talent and Bizkaia companies.
Over the course of the last months, a total of 135 third and fourth-year students have visited the installations of eight reference companies of diverse sectors and sizes, reflecting the diversity and wealth of Bizkaia’s industrial fabric. Sener, Agintzari, Fineco, Maier, Iberdrola’s Global Smart Grids Innovation Hub, SOC-E, NTT Data and Adresles have offered them the opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of their projects.
These encounters have proved to be an enriching experience for the youngers who are on the point of joining the labour market and the companies who are in search of talent. On the one hand, the experience has enabled the students to get a hands-on understanding of company projects, work models, professional perspectives and labour welfare policies, amongst other areas. At the same time, the companies have had an initial contact with their future candidates and have been able to gain a better understanding of their expectations with respect to their first employment.
