24 professionals (researchers, professors) and their families coming from Chile, Colombia, USA, India, England, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Extremadura and Basque expats enjoyed an Autumn day in the area of Encartaciones.
On the one hand, they visited the Pobal Foundry, a craft ironwork located in Muskiz. The group enjoyed a vivid exhibition bursting with artefacts from the ironworks, and were shown the exceptional quality of the iron mining, found in its mountains, helped the development of a great removing mining industry. On the other hand, they also visted the Loizaga Tower, a 13th century defensive tower, which currently hosts a magnificent private collection of vintage luxurious cars. The Rolls-Royces are the Crown jewel of the museum apart from others.
After tasting “txakoli” (Basque white wine), they enjoyed a lovely lunch with Basque products in Galdames. (08/11/2014)
